Based on WWDC 2017 videos, having a 64 gig iPhone just might work…

After reading and watching WWDC 2017 videos, compression rates are much better then they used to be – using latest Apple products of course.

During these sessions, Apple states loud and proud up to 2x better compression for video and images using the new generation HEVC & HEIF codecs.

So based on the fact that I mostly use my iPhone for photos and videos, I can somewhat conclude that a 64 gig iPhone should be close to a 128 gig.

As long as you use the iPhone X, 8 or 7 and only newer iPad pro’s of course.

*This doesn’t take into consideration other files and data, but I guess with a proper Cloud solution, we could save a few bucks there…
